Was highly enthused when Prof. Jonathan Schwartz, a researcher from the US studying pandemics, presented that institutionalising Ward Disaster Management Cells (WDMCs) at ward level as the way forward to face disasters. He had learnt about CIVIC’s role in getting them established in Bengaluru when he had interviewed her.
