- Majority of domestic workers get an average wage of Rs. 4,400 a month, despite most of them work in more than one household
- Only 10 percent of the domestic workers are organised
- About 65 percent do not even get even their basic minimum wages, nor do they get respectable treatment.
- Around 99.8 percent of domestic workers are women.
- 40 percent of workers earn between Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2,999.
- 29 percent of worker earn between Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,999.
- 14.5 percent of women earned between Rs.4,000 to Rs. 4,999.
- 11 percent of workers earn wages of Rs. 10,000 and above.
