CIVIC Bangalore Executive Trustee Ms. Kathyayini Chamaraj attended meeting organised by Govt. of Karnataka & Indian Institute of Public Administration-Karnataka Branch (IIPA-KRB) on “COVID 19: Lessons and Way Forward” on 13th Jan, chaired by former Chief Secretary, Mr. Vijay Bhaskar, and attended by about 30 heads of departments. Was highly enthused when Prof. Jonathan Schwartz, a researcher from the US studying pandemics, presented that institutionalising Ward Disaster Management Cells (WDMCs) at ward level as the way forward to face disasters. He had learnt about CIVIC’s role in getting them established in Bengaluru when he had interviewed her.

Digital Dialogue, under the Mahiti Kanaja initiative was held by DPAR-CeG, with the Labour Department and civil society organizations, including CIVIC Bangalore, on 4th January 2023.
