Following directions from the Karnataka High Court, Mangaluru City Corporation initiated the process of appointing members to ward committees in it’s 60 wards.
After a PIL in the high court by members of the Karnataka Ward Samithi Vedike, the court had ordered dated 8th August, 2019, had directed authorities to notify area sabhas before Municipal elections and form Ward Committees.
The last date for filling out nominations is 17th November, 2020.
