  2. Majority of  domestic workers  get an average wage of Rs. 4,400 a month, despite  most of them work in more than one household
  3. Only 10  percent of the domestic workers are organised

 

  1. About 65 percent do not even get even their basic minimum wages, nor do they get respectable treatment. 
  2. Around 99.8 percent of domestic workers are women.
  3. 40 percent of workers earn between Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2,999.
  4. 29 percent of worker earn between Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,999.
  5. 14.5 percent of women earned between Rs.4,000 to Rs. 4,999.
  6. 11 percent of workers earn wages of Rs. 10,000 and above.
