Memorandum to Parliamentary Committee on National Food Security Bill

We do not wish to reiterate the comments that have been already made
effectively by the Right to Food Campaign and others. Our main focus is that
the proposed National Food Security Bill (NFSB) does not ensure ‘nutritional
security’ as claimed in the Bill. If the goal of the NFSB is to provide
‘nutritional security’, it should be in consonance with the National Nutritional
Policy (NNP) enunciated in 1993.
